LSM Technologies designed, supplied, installed and commissioned a complete Safety Viewing Solution for the Fire and Rescue NSW Aerial Platform / Sky- lift Unit.

The Safety Camera Viewing Solution consists of:

  • TIC (Thermal Imaging Camera) + 216 x Zoom Camera mounted on HD Pan and Tilt Unit.
  • Fixed Camera on Cage.
  • Weather- proof LCD Monitor with Controls for Pan / Tilt and switching of Camera Views.

The Sk- lift Machine is used to direct water to the fire or "hot spots" or if manned, to also rescue people from buildings in high positions.

The primary objectives for the Safety Viewing Solution are:

  • LCD Monitor: Allows for the Controller on the machine to view both the Cage, TIC and Zoom Camera no matter what position the Sk- lift is in- and especially where visibility is impaired because in the dark / poor light, smoke or in "blind positioning".
  • TIC and Zoom Cameras: are mounted on the same Pan / Tilt Unit so the Controller can detect "Hot Spots" or People through Smoke or even in the Dark.
  • Zoom Camera: also has night vision and 216 x Zoom which allows th Controller to position the cage away from the fire and quickly Zoom into an Object / Person from great distances.
  • Cage Camera: Allows the Controller to monitor what is happening in the Cage at all times- manned or not manned.

Also as seen in the images, the Safety Viewing Solution is also connected to our specialised Video Distributor that allows for all images from the Sky- lift to be sent via RF and GPRS to:

  • Mobile Command Centre: for external Monitoring and Recording.
  • Remotely via Internet  / GPRS: for viewing from any location in the world- via Laptop, Tablet or PC.

LSM Technologies are proud to provide our specialised engineering services and product technology's that once again provide enhanced Safety / Health + Equipment Damage Control  + Productivity.
